Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican hospitals is proud of the high quality, compassionate care we provide to members of our community. Our hospitals have recently been recognized as follows for providing high quality care:

2020 Awards

  • The San Martín Campus has earned the 2020 Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award and also qualified for the following recognition:
    • Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll

The award recognizes San Martín Campus' commitment and success in implementing a high standard of stroke care by ensuring that their stroke patients receive treatment that meets nationally accepted, evidence-based standards and recommendations.

  • The Siena Campus earned a “High Performing” rating from U.S. News & World Reports for Hip Replacement in recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes. “High Performing” is the highest rating U.S. News awards for that type of care.
  • The Siena Campus earned a “High Performing” rating from U.S. News & World Reports for Knee Replacement in recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes. “High Performing” is the highest rating U.S. News awards for that type of care.
  • The Siena Campus earned a “High Performing” rating from U.S. News & World Reports for Heart Failure in recognition of care that was significantly better than the national average, as measured by factors such as patient outcomes. “High Performing” is the highest rating U.S. News awards for that type of care.
  • The Siena Campus earned the 2020 Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Center Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. This award signifies a commitment to guideline adherence and quality improvement for the STEMI patient population. Achieving Mission: Lifeline Recognition denotes a commitment to high quality systems of care amongst STEMI Receiving Centers, STEMI Referring Hospitals, 911 EMS Agencies, Inter-facility Transport Agencies and other supporting system participants through collaborative efforts.
  • The Siena Campus has earned the 2020 Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award and also qualified for the following recognition:

  • The San Martín Campus was Chosen as "Best Place to Have A Baby" Gold award winner in the 2019 Las Vegas Review-Journal readers' poll. - October 2019
  • The San Martín Campus received the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Get With The Guidelines-Stroke GOLD PLUS Achievement Award for its commitment and success in implementing a high standard of stroke care. (June 2019)
  • The Siena Campus received the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Get With The Guidelines-Stroke GOLD PLUS with Honor Roll Elite Achievement Award recognizing its commitment and success in implementing a high standard of stroke care. (June 2019)
  • The Siena Campus received the Mission: Lifeline-STEMI Receiving Center - GOLD PLUS Achievement Award from the American Heart Association for its continued success in applying the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatment guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes. (June 2019) 
  • The Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center at San Martín received the 2018 Healogics President's Circle Center of Distinction award for clinical excellence. Of the 621 Centers eligible for the award, only 10 Centers achieved this honor. (March 2019) 
  • The Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center at Siena was recognized as a 2018 Healogics Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence by achieving or exceeding outstanding clinical and operational results in 2018. (March 2019)

  • The Siena Campus was named by US News & World Report as a high-performing hospital for colon cancer surgery and hip replacement. - September 2017 
  • The Siena Campus received the American College of Cardiology's NCDR ACTION Registry-GWTG Platinum Performance Achievement award for 2017. The award recognizes St. Rose's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. - August 2017
  • Dignity Health was named the number 1 company to interview with by Glassdoor in its annual best places to interview ranking. - August 2017
  • The Siena Campus received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline Gold Plus STEMI Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer severe heart attacks. - June 2017
  • The Siena Campus received the National Certified Bronze Safe Sleep Hospital designation from Cribs for Kids through their commitment to reducing infant sleep-related deaths.  - April 2017

2016 Awards

  • The San Martín Campus was chosen as "Best Hospital" in the 2016 Las Vegas Review-Journal readers’ poll. - November 2016
  • The Siena Campus won the 2016/2017 Consumer Choice Award from National Research Corporation for the fourth year in a row. - November 2016  
  • The Siena Campus was awarded re-certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement from the Joint Commission. - October 2016  
  • The Siena Campus received the American College of Cardiology's NCDR ACTION Registry-GWTG Platinum Performance Achievement award for 2016, one of only 223 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor. The award recognizes St. Rose's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. - October 2016  
  • The San Martín Campus received the American College of Cardiology's NCDR ACTION Registry-GWTH Silver Performance Achievement Award, one of only 21 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor. The award recognizes St. Rose's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients - October 2016  
  • The Siena Campus was named by US News & World Report as the best regional hospital, along with receiving high-performing designations for COPD, heart failure, hip replacement and knee replacement. The San Martín campus received high-performing designations for COPD and heart failure, and the Rose de Lima campus received a high-performing designation for COPD. - September 2016    
  • St. Rose Dominican was awarded a Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association for steps taken to create a culture of wellness for employees. - June 2016      
  • The American Heart Association recognized the Siena Campus with a 2016 Quality Achievement Award: Mission Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center - SILVER PLUS Achievement Award for its success in using the Mission Lifeline STEMI program. - June 2016  
  • The American Heart Association recognized the San Martin Campus with the Get With The Guidelines - Heart Failure BRONZE Achievement Award. The hospital applies the most up-to-date evidence-based treatment guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes. - May 2016

2015 Awards

  • The San Martín Campus has received the Mission: Lifeline Bronze Receiving Quality Achievement Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer severe heart attacks.  - November 2015
  • The Siena Campus received the American College of Cardiology's ACTION Registry-GWTG Silver Performance Achievement award for 2015, one of only 91 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor. The award recognizes St. Rose Dominican's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. - September 2015
  • St. Rose Dominican was awarded a Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association for steps taken to create a culture of wellness for employees. - June 2015

2014 Awards

  • The Siena Campus was recognized as a 2013 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the U.S. Siena was recognized for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical care. - November 2014 

  • The Rose de Lima Campus was one of just two hospitals in southern Nevada to receive an "A" in hospital safety scores from the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization. And the St. Rose system (Rose de Lima, San Martin and Siena Campuses) was the best performing system in southern Nevada.  - November 2014

  • The Rose de Lima and Siena Campuses were given the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke "Silver Plus Achievement Award" by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. Hospitals receiving this award have reached an aggressive goal of treating stroke patients with 85 percent or higher compliance to core standard levels of care for 12 consecutive months. They have also demonstrated 75 percent compliance to 7 out of 10 stroke quality measures during the 12-month period. - November 2014

  • The Siena Campus won the 2014-2015 Consumer Choice Award for southern Nevada for the second year in a row. The award is given annually by the National Research Corporation to the hospital that consumers rank as best in overall quality and image. - October 2014

  • The Siena Campus trauma center was re-verified as a Level III trauma center by the Committee on Trauma (COT) of the American College of Surgeons - June 2014 

  • The Siena Campus was recognized by the American Nurses Association for its Outstanding Commitment to Quality Patient Care - June 2014 

  • The San Martín Campus received prestigious international recognition as an official Baby-Friendly Designated birth facility, the first in southern Nevada - April 2014.

  • The San Martín Campus received Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC) - April 2014.

  • The Siena Campus was chosen as the area’s safest hospital by Consumer Reports - April 2014.

  • Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican was again selected as one of the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s "Top Workplaces" in the large-company category. The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback. - February 2014.   

2013 Awards

  • St. Rose Dominican Hospitals was chosen as "Best Hospital" in the 2013 Las Vegas Review-Journal readers' poll.
  • The Rose de Lima Campus received an A in hospital safety scores from The Leapfrog Group.

  • The San Martín Campus was awarded the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's "Get with the Guidelines®–Stroke" Bronze Quality Achievement Award.

  • St. Rose Dominican Hospitals ranked #3 in the Las Vegas Review-Journal's "Top Workplaces" special section in the large-company category.

2012 Awards

  • The Rose de Lima Campus was the only hospital in southern Nevada to receive an A in hospital safety scores from The Leapfrog Group. Additionally, the St. Rose hospital system (Rose de Lima, San Martín and Siena Campuses) was the best performing system in southern Nevada.

  • St. Rose Dominican Hospitals was honored at the Raising Awareness in Stroke Excellence (RAISE) Awards in the category of "Outstanding Support Group" for its Aphasia Lunch Bunch support group.

  • The Siena Campus received the 2012 HealthInsight Quality Award for achieving a high level of performance on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's (CMS) publicly-reported quality data and promoting transparency in its health care system.

  • The Siena Campus trauma center was re-verified as a Level III trauma center by the Committee on Trauma (COT) of the American College of Surgeons. It also earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for its Joint Replacement Unit in August. The Joint Commission awarded the Siena Campus the Disease-Specific Care Certification for Joint Replacement.

  • The Siena Campus was awarded the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association's "Get with the Guidelines®–Stroke" Bronze Quality Achievement Award.

  • The Rose de Lima Campus was recognized as a top performing hospital in the MIDAS+ Platinum Quality Award program based on the hospital’s performance in the ACS MIDAS+ National Comparative Database and excellence in the care of high-risk, high-volume and problem-prone clinical populations.

  • St. Rose Dominican Hospitals earned Third Place in Vegas Inc.'s "Best Places to Work" awards in the "Large Employer" category.
