Heart Health Session at Anthem Country Club

Our Rose Bud Auxiliary hosted a two-hour heart health information session on June 29 that highlighted Henderson’s nationally recognized cardiac care unit at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals' Siena Campus. About 50 members of the Anthem Country Club attended the event, with several subsequently pursuing auxiliary membership.

Patricia Lindberg, President, and Auxiliary Co-Founder kicked off the session with a nod to the Rose Buds’ three-year focus on supporting the hospital’s cardiac care unit.

“Despite the shutdowns and ravages of COVID, our auxiliary has raised more than $200,000 for equipment that sterilizes probes and other surgical materials for patient care,” she said. “We are focused on doing much more because high-tech cardiac equipment and software upgrades are super expensive—and I know we all want to make sure the best technology is right down the street when we need it!”  continue reading

If anyone shops at J. Jansen Designs in the future and they mention the Rose Bud Auxiliary, ten percent will be donated to the St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation. It was an extremely fun event.

An Evening at the Copa Recap

The dust has settled and the gala is over, but it is one event that guests will never forget.  It was an amazing evening from the moment attendees entered the door. There were stunning decorations, gorgeous showgirls and amazing silent auction items. A cocktail reception with delicious hors d'oeuvres was held on the north patio and a photo salon was available to take photos as a momento.

Showgirls escorted guests into the ballroom where they enjoyed a delicious dinner and listened to wonderful music in the background. The talented Nate Tannenbaum served as the gala's emcee, Dr. Joel F. Bower was presented with the first Rose Bud Auxiliary Humankindness Award, and Richard Miller, Director of Cardiac Services at Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican gave a presentation about the auxiliary's goal to raise funds for a new Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit at the Siena campus.

Guests were entertained by the Anthem Jazz Dancers with Nicole Duffel and then a spectacular performance from the Elite Dance Studio performers with an appearance by auxiliary member, Karen Majeski.  The live auction began with lively bids and escalated into a bidding war among several attendees.  Finally, Rheda Fisher and Rheda K's Jazz Krew entertained guests as they danced the night away.

On the way out, lucky winners of the many excellent prizes picked up their items and headed home.  It was a night to remember and it was all because of the numerous, wonderful and gracious volunteers who gave up hundreds of hours working to make sure it was an amazing evening.
