This year, the Big Give supported St. Rose’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and raised $3,212 to help our tiniest patients.

Newborn babies who need intensive medical attention are often admitted to a special area of the hospital called the NICU.  No mother or father expects their baby to need neonatal intensive care, but every year 10 to 15 percent of babies born in the United States do for reasons including premature birth, heart problems, birth defects, breathing irregularities, among others. At Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican hospitals we deliver over 5,000 babies a year.

Our NICU will purchase a new treatment bed with the monies raised this year. These treatment beds are very special and keep these precious, fragile babies safe. They come equipped with incubators that mimic a mother's womb, cardio support for their little hearts, and respiratory support as well as many other sophisticated monitoring equipment.

Your gift, will help us to save the lives of thousands of babies for many years to come.
